Berlin Prenzlauer Berg Nightlife
After the GDR had deleted itself, Prenzlauer Berg, or
Prenz'lberg, as some extasy/THC confused students call it, became a popular residential and hangout district in united *Love City*.
Despite many of the former residents are constantly replaced by potent immigrants, Prenzlauer Perg preserves a kind of a "village spirit" you may have found in New York City of the 60s and 70s. During daytime PB is a very layed back area
While a nearby espresso machine is still yawning, you may see a contemporary hippy riding down the sidewalk on his repainted ladys' bike, some very serious looking, uncombed artist is carrying her art file to a gallery at the corner and a black dressed dudes sit in the street, sip on their inevitable latte macchiato and read russian prose.

Helmholtzplatz
Prenzlauer Berg is of great attraction for young artists all over Europe , because rents are (still) cheap, so are the drinks, no curfew, smoke
(though illicit) are available.
The backdraw is the weather: from beginn of november till end of April usually it's a never ending dark series of rain, storm, snow, squash, and frozen dog shit .
So it doesn't make much sense to get up early, you better live at nights, and enjoy your life as long s you don't understand it. (luckyly the bars, clubs, restaurants are all heated :)
